Authors and project participants
Zhanna Chepela director and composer
The basis and characteristic feature of the director's decision is the combination of various aspects of art and design in one project. This is music, paintings, feshion design, choreography, video art. Through music, combining material and non-material, I wanted to convey the versatility of the elements of water - fluidity, lightness, strength. Music is a connecting element between all components of the project.
Yana Chebotova – VISUAL RANGE (watercolor paintings)
The visual range of our project consists of watercolor paintings and their projections on the ceiling, walls and floor. This projection is in slow motion, repeating the movement of water and light below the surface of the sea.
My paintings are dedicated to the sea and water. I would like to immerse the viewer under the surface of the sea through the projection of paintings and their contemplation.
To give the viewer a sense of calm, peace, tranquillity that reign in the underwater world. For this I use complex color transitions, lighting effects that give us a sense of the movement of water above us and around us. Slow projection movement also enhances absorption. The paintings contain watercolors on special paper, which in itself is soluble in water and gives subtle color and light transitions that no other material can transmit. This is the fineness and transparency of aqueous solutions deposited on paper.
In art, watercolor is a unique graphic, inimitable by the author himself, as well as those impressions that we get from interacting with the sea element. Images of shells and sea creatures inspired me in this work.
The stylistic decision was chosen by the Abstract consciously in order to enable the viewer to think through what he saw and connect with his personal feelings, emotions, sensations from the sea.
Francheska Fiore VISUAL AND TACTICAL SERIES
Fashion design.
Tactile sensations from the touch of sea foam give us another side of the perception of perfect beauty and sensual knowledge of the world, awareness of the harmony of the world at a deep level.
Water and Air – these two sources of life – connecting together, form a foam, which, hugging you, gives an unforgettable tactile sensation: contact with the life-giving source itself. A creative feature of this project is the designer's decision to combine thin weaving from mohair with watercolors.
Mohair, cashmere and silk foam, from which dresses are woven in contact with the skin, raise our perception of beauty and harmony to the highest level. After all, living fibres give us a feeling of warmth when we are cold (cashmere and mohair) or, conversely, cool us if we are hot (silk). The materials that have been chosen are, first of all, natural, natural materials, living matter: cashmere, silk thread. Creating the greatest tactile comfort, we used natural silk thread in the hot period (it cools) and cashmere with mohair in the cool period (it warms).
The shape of the dresses is based on the image of the shell and the handle of the foam.
